At Ovako, we take pride in delivering high-quality hot-rolled round bars that meet stringent dimensional tolerances, catering to diverse customer requirements. Our extensive range and precision manufacturing make our round bars ideally suited for forging and machining applications.
Comprehensive Range of Sizes
Our standard hot-rolled round bars are available in diameters ranging from 14 mm to 160 mm. For diameters up to 75 mm, we offer increments of 1 mm, while larger dimensions are available at 5 mm intervals. This extensive selection ensures that we can meet the specific needs of various industrial applications.
Precision Tolerances
Adherence to the European standard EN 10060 ensures that our round bars meet the required tolerances for dimensions and shape. Our rolling mills possess the capability to produce even tighter tolerances, achieving up to half of the standard tolerance. This precision enhances the performance and reliability of our products in critical applications.

Advantages of Ovako’s round bars
-
Exceptional quality with tight tolerances: Our round bars are manufactured to precise tolerances, often achieving half the standard tolerance, ensuring superior quality and performance.
-
Ideal for forging and machining: The consistent quality and dimensional accuracy of our round bars make them particularly suitable for forging and machining processes.
-
Extensive size availability: With a broad range of sizes and customizable length options, our round bars can meet a wide array of industrial needs.
Standard Manufacturing Lengths
Unless otherwise specified, our round bars are manufactured in lengths of 6,000 mm. Factors such as bar diameter, heat treatment, and yield optimization may result in deviations from this standard length. Up to ten percent of the bars may be below the minimum of the ordered range but will not be less than 3 meters. Upon request, we can deliver bars sawn to exact lengths to accommodate specific project requirements.
Stringent Quality Assurance
We measure out-of-roundness as the difference between the maximum and minimum diameters, maintaining it at most two-thirds of the diameter tolerance. Straightness is assessed by the maximum height of the arch over a 1.0-meter test length, with a standard straightness tolerance of up to 2 mm. Our standard surface crack depth does not exceed 1 percent of the diameter. For enhanced quality assurance, we offer inspection methods such as magnetic dispersion or magnetic particle testing. Typically, we achieve surface quality class D for diameters up to 80 mm and class C for diameters up to 120 mm, in compliance with EN 10221.
At Ovako, we are committed to providing round bars that not only meet but exceed industry standards, ensuring reliability and excellence in every product we deliver. Contact us today for more information.
